Join Champman University hosts Toks Opeifa and Alannah Lockitt Feb. 11, 11:30am-12:30pm PST for an engaging conversation with special guests Dr. Akilah Cadet & Rev.Rainey Dock Matthews to explore the unique challenges faced by Black Disabled women, shedding light on how intersectionality shapes lived experiences across generations. Coined by Kimberlé Crenshaw, intersectionality describes how different systems of oppression, such as racism, sexism, and ableism, overlap and interact, creating complex layers of marginalization for individuals who embody multiple identities. All are welcome as this event is open to the public. Food will be provided with a book signing with Dr. Cadet to follow. RSVP here.
